Hey, txCitizen!
We’re beyond excited to share a groundbreaking development that’s set to redefine onchain governance for Ethereum Mainnet DAOs. Thanks to Aragon, and with the support of Tsuko, gasless onchain voting is no longer a distant dream—it’s HERE!! 🎉🥳
Let’s dive into how this revolutionary solution is transforming the voting process, and txSync’s role in this major milestone 👇🏻
Voting on Mainnet has traditionally been expensive, with gas fees often reaching several dollars per transaction. This high cost has been a significant barrier to voter participation, impacting the effectiveness and inclusivity of DAO governance.
This is not just a minor improvement—it’s a complete overhaul of how onchain governance can operate. Mainnet DAO participants can cast their votes for free thanks to a Aragon’s Multichain Governance plugin.
Here’s how this solution works:
Token Bridging: Voters start by bridging their tokens from Ethereum Mainnet to ZKsync, prepping them for voting on the L2 network.
Gasless Voting on L2: Once on ZKsync, voters can cast their votes with no gas fees, thanks to Tsuko’s paymaster.
Vote Aggregation: The solution uses LayerZero Labs’ V2 to aggregate votes on the L2 chain and then relays and compiles them on the Ethereum Mainnet. This ensures that while voting happens on ZKsync, the DAO’s governance actions and final decisions are securely executed on Mainnet.
We are always committed to delivering real-world solutions that drive tangible impact. Partnering with Aragon on this innovative project is a testament to our dedication to advancing blockchain technology. Here’s how Tsuko played a crucial role:
By enabling gasless voting, we’re helping to lower the barriers to participation and drive more inclusive decision-making within DAOs.
We’re excited to see how this innovation will shape the future of DAO governance and are honored to be part of this transformative journey! Once again, kudos to the whole Aragon team! 💙
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of DAO governance. By combining Aragon’s innovative approach with Tsuko’s paymaster capabilities and ZKsync’s scalability, we’re paving the way for more accessible and cost-effective voting solutions.
For those interested in exploring this innovative solution further, check out Aragon’s recent blog post which details the integration and its benefits.
