txFusion's Epic Summer 2023 Journey: From EdCon Montenegro to ETHParis!

Our summer started early this year in May and though it’s already August, it’s still going on pretty strong for the txFusion team 💪

Let us take you from the stunning landscapes of Montenegro, over to Croatia and the Czech Republic, to the grand finale in the enchanting France.

Here are the most exciting highlights of txFusion's epic summer expedition!

EDCON

EDCON is a non-profit annual global Ethereum conference that happens once a year and in a different country. This year it was held in Podgorica, Montenegro May 19-23.

The most captivating thing was definitely a speech from Vitalik - dressed as Montenegrin 😄

He appeared on the stage wearing a national costume of Montenegro and raised the three main technical problems of Ethereum - scalability, privacy, user security. He talked about topics that are future focus of Ethereum’s development plan: Account Abstraction, stealth addresses, zk-snarks and as always, pointed out the importance of the community.

Regarding other speakers, topics such as crypto wallets, the development of the Web3 infrastructure, Layer 2 solutions, the creation of EVM-based private smart contracts, tokenization, and etc were covered. You can find full EDCON 2023 playlist with all the speeches here.

This conference really showed that blockchain and cryptocurrency are continuing to grow, and have remain among the most important and promising sectors in the field of innovative technologies.

BlockSplit 4

You might think it is impossible to achieve coming from one part of Mediterranean sea to another in less then 24 hours, but word ‘impossible” is rarely used in txFusion dictionary 😎

As expected, BlockSplit 4 was an absolute blast! Main focus this year were startups (so glad about that!) and DeSci (Decentralized Science - an aspect of the DeFi space that is creating public infrastructure for science through blockchain technology). And we must add that beyond the groundbreaking ideas and amazing speakers, BlockSplit4 def brought the heat on the dance floor at the afterparties!

Web3 Tales

In Zagreb from June 1-2, we were invited to Web3 Tales conference by wonderful ladies from Alice in Blockchains.

Join our @inesisljami today at #Web3Tales Conference where she will be talking about the blockchain fundamentals 🙌🏻 https://t.co/WE34xaV1eM

And our founder Ines was so thrilled to open a workshop — a very successful one, to add— about blockchain fundamentals.

Later this discussion continued on such a cool panel about Web3 career opportunities and women in web3 space. As a women led company, this topic was of big importance for us.

Web3 Tales conference was a first ever Balkan conference that it is organised by a 100% female volunteer team of members of the Alice in Blockchains association, with a goal to ensure that women have the leading say at the conference.

ETH Belgrade

As a part of Belgrade Blockchain Week, from June 2-4 ETH Belgrade was happening! For us this meant slowing down the tempo a bit 🏎️ with a conference at home (finally!). It was a great chance to re-connect with the Serbian scene, as well as to boost regional cooperations.

You can find all the talks from ETH Belgrade 2023 here.

ETHPrague

ETHPrague 2023 was a great journey for the txFusion team: three days of awesome collaboration, intense sessions and bunch of great meetups! DeFi summit and ETH Prague levelled up and really inspired builders! The focus was on future of Ethereum and concepts and application which are yet to be though through.

EthCC Paris

For a grand finally, we have attended EthCC July 17-23 in Paris, France. EthCC is the largest annual European Ethereum event focused on technology and community., and it was a great opportunity for us to catch up with old frens, connect with new ones, and participate in various workshops, panels, and hackathons!

We attended zkSync’s BUIDLEra day which was full of interesting presentations from various projects and experts, and hackathons! And speaking of hackatons - guess who won 1st place?

You got that right!🥇😎

It’s us with txTsuko, a dApp we created at zkSync BUIDLEra buidlbox hackaton: Challenge for Paymasters

We really loved working together with zkSync’s team in an open coworking space, and exchanging ideas and feedback on our mutual projects.

We were also very thrilled to attend Alex Gluchowski’s talk about the key aspects of Ethereum’s rollup-centric future, the emergence of application-specific chains, and how the ZK Stack vision fits into this landscape!

Another big highlight at EthCC this week was attending Vitalik Buterin’s talk on the history of account abstraction! He shared his insights on the long journey of developing this feature and the latest proposal to change Ethereum, which could have a huge impact on web3 adoption.

We also had the chance to decompress and hang out with some amazing people from the blockchain community!

And last, but definitely not least, we, as a remote company, also used this opportunity to have some team building time, and we’ve enjoyed absolutely every second of it!

Aaand that’s all folks!
